Longi

San Ramon, February 27, 2026 — S&P Global has released the Sustainability Yearbook 2026, spotlighting global companies with outstanding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has secured a position among the top 4% in the Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment sector, based on its strong performance in the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).

In addition, LONGi earned the “Industry Mover” recognition for achieving the highest year-over-year improvement in CSA score within its category. This achievement reflects the company’s commitment to advancing sustainability practices, improving ESG transparency, and delivering measurable impact.

Global ESG Excellence Recognized

The Sustainability Yearbook 2026 includes companies that demonstrated exceptional ESG performance in the 2025 CSA. Out of more than 9,200 companies evaluated globally, only 848 were selected, with just 15 companies receiving the “Industry Mover” distinction.

LONGi Founder and CTO Zhenguo Li Earns Lifetime Achievement Award at 2025 S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards

LONGi is proud to announce that its Founder, President of the Central R&D Institute, and Chief Technology Officer of the Technology Management Center, Zhenguo Li, has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards. This distinction is one of the industry’s most respected acknowledgments and celebrates Li’s three decades of pioneering work advancing solar innovation, driving global cost reductions, and shaping the renewable energy landscape.

Li Zhenguo majored in semiconductor materials from the Department of Physics and graduated from Lanzhou University in 1990. In 2004, he received his MBA diploma from Xi’an Jiaotong University. In February 2000, he founded LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Xi’an Xinmeng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.), and then successively worked as chairman of Xi’an LONGi Silicon Materials Corp. and president of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

Since entering the solar industry in 1995, Mr. Li Zhenguo has become a renowned expert in the transverse magnetic field related to monocrystalline silicon and has devoted years to advancing mono silicon research and product development. The decarbonizing technology he developed changed the face of the industry, supported in part by the National Innovation Fund for Science and Technology. His unwavering dedication to monocrystalline silicon drove the global photovoltaic industry toward higher efficiency and long-term scalability, setting a technical foundation that continues to guide modern solar manufacturing today.

Under his leadership, LONGi has grown from a small startup to a global technology leader, driving breakthroughs in wafer technology, module efficiency, green hydrogen, and integrated “solar-plus-storage” applications.

In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Li Zhenguo emphasized that the award reflects the collective effort of thousands of colleagues, partners, and clients who have supported LONGi’s mission across nearly 30 years. He expressed deep gratitude to the S&P Global committee, LONGi employees, global partners, and his family for their longstanding encouragement.

“This is a path that concerns the future of humanity. The responsibility is great, and our mission is clear,” said Li. “We will continue to work hand in hand with partners around the world to deliver more green energy, and to light up a greener planet.”

Li also highlighted the people behind LONGi’s achievements, emphasizing that the company’s progress has been made possible by its dedicated R&D teams who turn innovation into affordable clean energy solutions. He also expressed gratitude to the clients and partners whose trust and long-standing support have helped expand access to renewable power worldwide.

Reflecting on the company’s evolution, Li noted LONGi’s role in driving down the cost of solar energy has improved conversion efficiency and enabled a new era of renewable integration. This effort is now being extended into green hydrogen, green methanol, and green ammonia to support deep decarbonization.

“Without the extraordinary people of LONGi,” Li added, “there would not be the company we know today, and I would not be standing here.”

As the global energy sector accelerates toward net-zero goals, Li reaffirmed LONGi’s commitment to scientific development, responsible innovation, and long-term collaboration across all corners of the industry.

For LONGi, this award highlights the lasting impact of Li’s vision and the company’s dedication to building a greener, more resilient world.
